Lovers and Friends

This is the highly anticipated first edition of the nabtravel blog. We will endeavour to keep you informed and updated on all our travel as we adventure through Asia in 2016 and possibly beyond (don’t tell Rechelle). As internet connections are often limited and poor quality, posts will be made when we can! Hopefully weekly.

As we travel we hope to achieve, see and experience many things. Bianca hopes to cook her way through Asia and find her new career path. Nathan wants to experience every sport the world has to offer and possibly become bilingual.

Below is a brief outline of our travel plans for the year(this list is subject to frequent and sizable changes).

Jan: Australian Roadtrip (Brisbane to Perth)

Feb: Indonesia (Bali) and Singapore

Mar: Malaysia (including Borneo), Indonesia (Sumatra) and Sri Lanka

Apr: Sri Lanka and India

May: India, Nepal and Bhutan

Jun: Myanmar and Vietnam

Jul: South East Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos)

Aug: South East Asia continued

Sep: Hong Kong and Australia (Home for a wee bit)

Oct: China

Nov: Japan and South Korea

Dec and beyond: TBA

Although every aspect of the trip will be unbelievable, there are a few things we are looking forward to a little more than most:

  • Indian Premier League – Cricket (Nathans idea of fun……)
  • Revisiting the Taj Mahal
  • Visiting Bhutan
  • Vietnam with the Edwards
  • Orangutans in Sumatra and Borneo
  • Skiing in Japan
  • Terracotta Warriors in China
  • FOOD!
  • Western food after curry for a few months straight
  • Jo and Rach’s Wedding
  • Clean underwear

We hope you enjoy our journey nearly as much as we will

      Hi Guys
When we went to Melaka we picked a booklet titled “Welcome to Melaka”. Very informative about what’s on and where to go complete with a good map.

Also when in Malaysia we visited Kellies Folly (a castle in the making). A very interesting place. Located near the township of Batu Gajah.

We also recommend a couple of days in the Cameron Highlands. The major tea growing district on the Malay Peninsular. The climate and the scenery is spectacular.
