09.10.16 – Walking Tour, Queenstown, New Zealand
After arriving in Queenstown, we sampled the famous Fergburger and then travelled to the “i Site” (Information locations in all major towns and cities in New Zealand) to search for some activities to do while in town. The FREE Walking Tour caught our eye! Mostly because FREE, other than tipping the guide at the end of the tour, but we also love doing walking tours all over the world.
Our guide Mark, was sensational. His knowledge of Queenstown and its history was excellent and he showed us some great spots around town. These included Cookie Time, Erik’s Fish and Chips (for deep fried kiwifruit), local bars and some of the old architecture. The 2 hour tour finished with a free tasting of a locally brewed beer.
We saw Queenstown in a totally different light after our tour and really enoyed our afternoon around town.
